Writing Assignment 1
You are to read the paper and to write a report describing the essence of the paper: Oyster, C. W., and H. B. Barlow. "Direction-selective Units in Rabbit Retina: Distribution of Preferred Directions." Science 155 (1967): 841-842. You must also do a bit of research and write about what has happened in the field since the paper was published.
There will be a 10% penalty for reports not submitted on time.

Please write a 1-2 page summary that answers the following question in detail: "In what way or ways does current research suggest modifications of the Jeffress model of ITD processing? Base your answer on any source or sources but be sure to concentrate primarily on the research report by Brand, et. al. 2002. (See reading for session 21.)"
